I’ve been wanting to take my daughter-in-law and 5year old granddaughter to a tea room for their birthday. I was very excited to stumble upon this location because tea rooms I have personally been to before do not allow children. This ended up being a very delightful experience for all of us. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was everything you would expect in a tea room. I believe this has become my new favorite tea room. I only wish they were open on more days.

The food was absolutely delicious and made in house! I had the chocolate strawberry scone, cheddar potato soup, the chicken salad and bacon and tomato sandwiches. And then I chose the sherbet for dessert. We had a lovely time. We also got two of the princess (kids) tea and the food options were right up my kids alley. They also got to make a craft. Will definitely have to come back.

Just south of Pittsburgh is this darling tea room and cafΓ© that has been here forever and I never knew about it, despite being a South Hills resident and not very far at all. But people certainly do know! It took me several weeks to get on the reservation list, and now at the end of March it sounds like they are booking into June. The reputation is well-earned. I took my mom for a lovely girl’s afternoon out. The staff is so welcoming and the place is adorably decorated with thoughtful touches in each room of the beautiful space. There is even a gift shop where you can buy loose leaf tea or tea-making needs. You can order a la carte from things like soups, salads and desserts, but you are here for a full tea experience and I recommend the high tea at $30 per person, which is probably half of what you pay for this type of experience in the city and with far less attention to details. You get a scone to start, which are crumbly and light and unlike anything I have been served as a scone before (this is a good thing), followed by your choice of soup, a side salad, three tea sandwiches (vegetarian can be accommodated and GF is available for a $2 upcharge) and three desserts. I love going to this tea room. My family and I go for our birthdays during the summer and they always make it so special. I highly recommend the tomato bacon basil grilled cheese and the chocolate cherry amaretto.

My daughter took me here last weekend. I was BLOWN AWAY by the beauty of the setting, the delicious, high quality treats, stellar service, and ambience that allows one a chance to relax and enjoy one-on-one conversation. Truly the remedy for a nervous, stressed-out world. And at a reasonable price!! I purchased 4 gift certificates for Christmas gifts and may be back for more! Can’t wait to return! Kudos and wishes for continued success for the owner.
